A potential source for the water which has accumulated around the foundations of the old building for many years, is a cracked land drain. The latter has been located running from the Glebe field towards the back of the building, and was probably damaged when the gas supply for Churchfields was installed in the 1970's. The gas pipe appears to have cut right through the path of the land drain. The old drainage run has now been connected to a new system running down the east side of the building

George A Moore Foundation

The Foundation, which is a Harrogate based Charitable Trust, has today very generously donated £5000 to the new Community Centre. The Trustees of the Foundation commented that they were extremely impressed with the application they received and which they described as clear, concise and well presented.

The Trustees have requested that their congratulations and best wishes are passed on to everyone involved in what they describe as an 'exciting project'
