Caring Together

A new group has been introduced by the Alzheimer's Society offering the opportunity for anyone who has or knows someone with memory problems to drop in for a chat and a coffee on Thursday mornings at CCCC. This is a partnership between the Society, Help the Aged and the CCCC Committee. The Society will have lots of useful information available, and advice can be provided about some of the existing services available locally.

Darley Local History Group

A new local history group has recently started meeting on alternate Thursdays at CCCC. Under the auspices of Age Concern, it provides an opportunity for older residents to meet and talk about their memories - and escapades! - of 50 or 60 years ago, and for some slightly younger ones to find out what life was like in Darley in the past. The immediate aim, using photographs and anecdotes, is to provide a scrapbook which will provide a snapshot of personal memories of life in Darley.
