Library Coffee Morning - with Chiropody!
In 2005, in preparation for the restoration of the old church hall, North Yorkshire Library and Information Services agreed to a request from the Steering Group for an additional stop for the mobile library in Darley in the car park at Christ Church . This was supported by a coffee morning in the hall, enabling local residents to change their books etc., and a story corner for children. While CCCC was being created during 2007, the venue moved temporarily to the pavilion at the Playing Fields. Following the opening of CCCC in 2007 the library returned and, in addition to the opportunity for coffee and conversation, a chiropody service became available in CCCC. This continues.

Annual General Meeting
At the AGM held on Thursday, 26th February, it was reported that CCCC has had a successful year, both in the encouraging level of use of the hall and financially. The Management Committee realises the importance of building up a reserve fund to ensure the future of CCCC. The Committee also recognises its responsibility to maintain the building to its present standard so that it may be enjoyed, not only for the duration of the lease, but for many years to come.
